“Mike” Dane D. Ratliff Sr., 94, of Pioneer, Texas passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 3 at home with his son at his bedside.

Graveside Services will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday, June 6 at Pioneer Cemetery in Pioneer, Texas with Gary Teague officiating.

Mike was born on April 2, 1924 in Mullin, Texas to the late Marshall and Mattie Bell Minicia-Ratliff. He was the second child of 10 children. He was a graduate from Cross Plains High School. He worked in the oilfield industry, a Butcher and a chicken breeder and was widely known in the fowl industry. Mike was an international 3 time legion in the game fowl industry and had over 20,000 friends worldwide. He will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Mike is survived by his son, Dane and his wife, Iris of Cross Plains, Texas; Drue and her husband, John of Cross Plains, Texas; 3 brothers, Herman Moore of Brownwood, Texas; Larry Elkins of Houston, Texas; J.C. Elkins of Austin, Texas; sister, Helen Dennison of Brownwood, Texas; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
