Obituary for Darrell Glen Freeman
Darrell G. Freeman, 62, of Sache, TX passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at the lake doing what he loved.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Higginbotham Funeral Home, Cross Plains, TX. Burial will follow at Cross Plains Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be from 10:30 to Noon, Saturday prior to the service, at the funeral home.
Darrell was born on August 5, 1955 in Abilene, TX to Wayne and Lora Marchbanks Freeman. He had a Bachelor of Science degree and worked as a network engineer. Darrell enjoyed life, he loved to fish, was an avid reader and had a great sense of humor. He enjoyed collecting (hoarding) different things including VHS tapes. Leslie Gardner was his lifetime friend and love having known each other since they were six years old. She had to assign him rooms for his collection so it wouldn’t spill out to entire house. Darrell was deeply loved and will be dearly missed.
Darrell is survived by his son, Kyle and wife Justine Freeman; daughter, Amanda Cole and husband Michael; grandchildren; Xander Freeman, Jax Freeman, Layla Freeman, Mathew Porter, J.T. Partin and Lynlee Cole; parents, Wayne Freeman and Lora Freeman; brother, James and wife Tammy Freeman; nieces, Jamie Briseno, Tonda Freeman; longtime friend and love, Leslie Gardner.
