Donald Gene “Don” Draper, 86, of Cottonwood, passed away on Sunday, December 5, 2021 at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene, Texas.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, December 9 at 1:00 PM at Cottonwood Cemetery in Cottonwood, Texas.
Don was born on March 18, 1935 to the late Louis Monroe Draper and Irma Lela Blakney-Draper.
Don was preceded by his wife of 48 years, Bobbie Fay Draper; son, Ricky Venoy Draper; daughters, Teresa Jean Harris Draper; Karen Lee Draper-Hamm; Kimberley Rae Draper-Champion; parents, Louis Monroe Draper and Irma Lela Blakney-Draper; brother, Calvin Draper; sisters, Ida Lee Wingfield and Mildred Sims, as well as many other beloved family members.
Don is survived by his loving wife of 10 years, Vicci Thelma Vandenburg-Draper of Cottonwood; daughter, Pamela Jean Draper-Seals and husband, Troy of Ben Wheeler; son-in-law, Monty Champion of Stephenville; step-daughters, Lini Beth Phelps and husband, Rick of Bangs; Colleen Louise Bostick of Brownwood; Ada Sue Green and husband, Eric of Brownwood; 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; brothers, Dean Draper and Delphine of Princeton; Wendell Draper and his wife, Vanda of Cross Plains; Danny Draper of Durant, Oklahoma; sister, Wanda Dunn and husband, George of Richland Hills; Jean O’Hair a very dear, precious, loving friend; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.
