Obituary for Geraldine "Jerri" Taylor (Ramsey)

Our beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend passed away on October 29 into the arms of her Lord and Savior. Geraldine “Jerri” Ramsey-Taylor was 86 years old. She was dearly loved by her family and friends and will be greatly missed. Those that were privileged to know her were blessed with lots of love and laughter.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 2 at 12:00 PM at First Baptist Church in Cross Plains, Texas with Ronnie White officiating. Burial will follow after the service at Cross Plains Memorial Park in Cross Plains, Texas. The family will have a time of visitation on Wednesday, November 2 at 10:30 am prior to the service at the church..

Jerri was born on June 8, 1936 in Morton, Texas to Stevenson Adlia Ramsey and Cora Almeda Linsenbee-Ramsey. Jerri married Burlie Taylor on August 6, 1956 in Morton, Texas.

Jerri was preceded in death by her parents, Stevenson Adlia Ramsey and Cora Almeda Linsenbee-Ramsey.

Jerri is survived by her beloved husband of 66 years, Burlie Taylor of Cross Plains, Texas; sons, William Taylor of Nashville, Tennessee; Wayne Taylor and wife, Carol of Atlanta, Georgia; daughters, Celeste Johnson and husband, Andy of Lampasas, Texas; Stephanie Taylor of Lampasas, Texas; 3 grandchildren, Trae Taylor and wife, Katie of Napa, California; Jackson Taylor and wife, Alexa of Atlanta, Georgia ; Sloane Johnson and fiancé, Michael Cornish of Lampasas, Texas; brother, Gerald Ramsey of Morton, Texas; sisters, Joyce Marshall of Bryan, Texas; Belva Stokes and husband, Vernon of Midland, Texas; Sue Pinson and husband, Jackie of Brownfield, Texas; Peggy Anderson and husband, Buster of Arlington, Texas.
