James Ray Baugh was called home by our Lord and Savior on September 27, 2022, at age 70. He passed away peacefully in his sleep with a smile on his face.

James was born to Charlie and Dorothy Baugh on July 14, 1952, in Rising Star, Texas. James always had a smile on his face, and a friend in everyone, no one was a stranger to him.

James loved attending the Church of Christ in Cross Plains, drinking coffee, being outside, his badges, and Dallas Cowboys football. He was a simple man who appreciated simple things, and he had the biggest heart full of love for his family.

James joins his parents, Charlie and Dorothy Baugh, his brother, Sammy Charles, his sister Lanitta Sturgill, his uncle Richard Hamaan, his uncle Elmer Baugh and nephew Jonathon Ethington in Heaven.

He is survived by his brother-in-law David, his two sisters Marie and Charlesea, his three nephews Rick, Sean, and Jeffrey, his five nieces Ashley, Melanie, Allisha, Marleana, and Chelsea, his 9 great nephews Tyler, Trevor, Truett, Tyler, Zach CD, George, Jeremiah, Hunter, Bryson, and Elijah, 10 great nieces Ali, Lily, KK, Kayle, Shyanna, Alia, Autumn, Ariel, Haleigh, and Amber, and 1 great great niece Mozelle and 1 great great nephew Kayce.
