Obituary for Joanna Brown (Weiss)
Joanna “Sis” Weiss-Brown, 88, of Cross Plains, Texas passed away on Sunday, September 19, 2021 at the Songbird Lodge in Brownwood, Texas.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 21 at First Baptist Church in Cross Plains, burial will be at the Cross Plains Memorial Park in Cross Plains, Texas. The Family will have a time of visitation on Tuesday, September 21 at 1:00 PM prior to the funeral service at the church.
Joanna was born November 28, 1932 in Cross Cut, Texas to the late Thomas Carl Weiss and Blanche Andrews-Weiss. She married Roland “Buck” Brown on September 2, 1953, who preceded her on July 15, 2006.
Joanna was preceded by her husband, Roland “Buck” Brown; sons, Tommy Brown; Steve Brown; parents, Thomas Carl Weiss and Blanche Andrews-Weiss; sister, Dixie Corley; brothers, Douglas Weiss; Edwin Weiss.
Joanna is survived by her daughters, Shirley Davis and husband, Bobby of Cross Plains; Charlotte Lee and husband, Robert of Cross Plains; 6 grandchildren, Crystal, Jamie, Jeffery, Terry, Trina, and Hailey; several great grandchildren; brother, Willburn Weiss and wife, Glenda of Cross Plains; numerous nieces and nephews.
