Obituary for Mozelle Bryan Richardson

Mozelle, Granny to many of us, was born on November 14th, 1919 to the late John and Lily McElroy. She had three older sisters, Eva Mae, Ola, and Faye, all who preceded her in death. Mozelle was preceded in death by her husbands, Lloyd Luther Bryan and L.A. Richardson.

Mozelle is survived by two daughters, GayNell and husband, Fritz Barnett of Santa Fe, Texas and Shannon Thate of Euless, Texas; 5 grandchildren, Cynthia Gay and husband, Hal Miller, Sheppard Fritz and wife, Renee; Ginger Delaine and husband, Brue Painter; Tammy D’ree and husband, Dave Koolbeck and Desirea Miller; 9 great grandchildren, Jason, Kyle, Brad, Jenna, Krista, Bryan, Lauren, Chas and Felicia. 9 great great-grandchildren, Dieanna, Mahlia, Tigo, Irie, Jayde, Fallyn, Cannan, Brooklyn, Carter, and Max.

Mozelle lived most of 98 years in Callahan county. She owned and operated Bryan’s Variety Store, later called just Mozelle’s for 52 years.

Mozelle loved her God and her church family. She loved her friends at the Senior Citizens. The people in Cross Plains always treated her with love and respect. For that we are thankful.
