Ray  Cornelius  Curry
Ray Cornelius Curry left this world to meet his Lord early Thursday morning, July 12, 2018. Born March 8, 1926, to Ed and Jessie Curry, he was the youngest of ten children. In 1944 Ray was drafted into the U.S. Navy. He then served at Pearl Harbor.
Following his service to our country, Ray met and married Gloria Strickland. He is survived by his wife Gloria, daughter Debra and her husband Jeff Feuerbacher, daughter Taina Curry and her daughters Deanna, Evie, and Heidi Michaelson, along with numerous loving nieces and nephews.
Ray was retired from a 37-year career with Western Union. He was a talented tenor and pianist. His family cherishes their memories of him, and he will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, we invite you to send donations to the Alzheimer’s research organization of your choice.
Following visitation Friday evening, 6-8pm, at Higginbotham Funeral Home, 309 NE Fourth St. in Cross Plains, Texas, the funeral service will be held Saturday morning at 11am in the Pavilion at Pioneer Cemetery.
