Obituary for Teddy Michael Merrick

Teddy Michael Merrick passed away peacefully Thursday evening, April 2, 2020 in Fort Worth TX.

Teddy was born July 12, 1948 in Big Spring Texas to Walker and Cleo (Anderson) Merrick. He married Donna Merrick November 20, 1967 in Big Spring Texas. He graduated from Coahoma High School, attended Howard College and served 13 years in the United States Air Force. He and Donna operated a dairy in the Cross Plains area with Doris and Donald Duke for 10 years. He drove a truck for J B Hunt cross county for year and half, and then retired from Fina Oil and Chemical after approximately 20 years of service. He and Donna relocated to Weatherford, Texas after retirement. He always said those dairy days were the happiest days of his working career. He loved his motorcycle and his motorcycle buddies and was always planning the next great ride.

Teddy is survived by his wife, Donna of Weatherford. His mother-in-law, Doris Duke, his sister-in-love (as he called her) and his couch potato buddy (when she was not working), Teresa Enfield. Sister-in-law Geneva Merrick and brother in Law Mike Duke. Nieces: Krystal (Tyson) Barrett, Jennie Walker (JohnT) of Brock, Tx, Alana Merrick and Sheree Itz of Dallas; nephews: Steve Merrick, Big Spring; Tracy (Linda) Frazier of Andrews, Tony (Tina) Frazier of Lubbock. Great nieces and nephews Brady (Thuy) Frazier, Travis Frazier, Ashlyn Frazier, Loriann (Wesley) Ryan, Dylan and Bryland Barrett, Carson Presti, Lanie Walker, Joel and Daniel Melville, Wendi (Larry) Clements, Jennifer (Logan) Roland and three great-great nephews Jensen Ray Walker, Ford Ryan, and Liam Frazier and numerous cousins. He loved and survived his dog, Moe Moe.

Teddy was preceded in death by his parents, sister Billie (Raymond) Frazier Porch, bother Sam Merrick, niece Kay Frazier Davis, father-in-law Donald Duke. He was loved by his family and friends and will be missed.
