Obituary for Wilda Holland (Webber)

Wilda E. Weber-Holland, 88, of Cross Plains, Texas went to be with our Lord and Savior on Thursday, December 13, 2018 in Comanche, Texas.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, December 15, at 1:00 PM at St. John's Episcopal Church in Brownwood, with Father Russ Fisher officiating Father Michael S. Mobley assisting. Burial will follow at the Garden of Memory Cemetery in Comanche. The family will have a time of visitation on Friday, December 14 from 5:00-7:00 pm at the Funeral Home in Cross Plains.

Wilda was born on December 1, 1930 in Gordon, Nebraska to the Late William H. and Bertha White-Weber. Wilda married Orville Holland on July 25, 1952 in Tucson, AZ. Wilda was a Registered Nurse who worked with the Late Dr. Sohns in Cross Plains, Gorman Hospital & Waco Hospital. Wilda was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Brownwood. Her faith was extremely important to her and she instilled those values into her children and grandchildren. Wilda shared her passion for taking care of animals, gardening, farming and baking with her loved ones. She had a compassion for others and had the sweetest heart. She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. Wilda was deeply loved and will be dearly missed.

Wilda is survived by her husband, Orville Holland of Cross Plains; son, Joe Holland and wife, Susan of Cross Plains; daughter, Susan Glynn of Midland; grandchildren, Shane Sharpe of Austin; Tiffany Holland of Aledo; Joe Holland II of Tahlequah, OK; Tanessa Glynn of Clyde; Terra Hinojosa and husband, Mark of Midland; William Holland of Fort Lee, VA; Adreane Williams and husband, Benny of Glen Rose; 8 great-grandchildren and one on the way.

Wilda was preceded in death by her parents, William H. and Bertha White-Weber, son, William “Bill” Holland.
