Betty Busbee

Betty C. Busbee, 87, of Rising Star, passed away Sunday, May 14, 2017.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 16 from 6 to 8 PM at First Baptist Church in Rising Star, TX. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 17 at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church in Rising Star. Burial will follow the service at the Rising Star Cemetery.

Betty was born on December 20, 1929 in Stephens County, TX., to the late Alex and Audie May Boatright-Conner. Betty married James “Bob” Busbee on March 25, 1951 at the First Baptist Church in Rising Star, Texas. Betty worked as a bookkeeper. She enjoyed playing Bridge and was an avid Gardner. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Rising Star. She will be missed dearly by those who knew and loved her.

Betty is survived by her husband, Bob Busbee of Rising Star; brother, Bill Conner and wife, Nancy of Santa Anna; sister, Mary Lou Jenkins of Gainesville; Nephews, Carey Jenkins and wife, Becky of Gainesville; Randy Jenkins and wife, Brenda of Gainesville; Mark Jenkins of Gainesville; Tommy Wayne Busbee and wife, Pam of Lake Brownwood; Nieces, Julie Jenkins of Gainesville; Rita Isgar of Houston; brother-in-law, Thomas Busbee of May. sister-in-law, Mary Beth Busbee. Numerous Cousins and dear friends.

Betty was preceded in death by her brother, Jimmy Conner.
