Billy Frank Melton, 64, of Cross Plains, passed away Sunday, June 4, 2017 in Cross Plains.
A graveside service will be held Friday, June 9 at 3:00 PM at Cross Cut Cemetery in Cross Cut, Texas.
Bill was born on February 17, 1953 in Grand Falls, TX., to the late James Lee and Gladys Inez Baucom-Melton. Bill was a drilling superintendent for 44 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cross Plains, Texas.
Bill is survived by his children, Lori Melton of Midland, Harley Melton of Midland, Jacob Lee Melton of Cross Plains, Brittany Melton of Cross Plains; grandchildren, Kassany Melton, James Melton, Tayden Hall; sister, Glenda Weiss and husband, Wilburn of Cross Plains; best friend, Jerry Hinkle; numerous nieces and nephews.
Bill was preceded in death by three siblings, Gatha Lee Porter and her husband, W. B. Porter, James Gary Melton, Larry Dale Melton.
