Bobbie Mae Casey (Grandma) went to be with the Lord and loved one's on March 11, 2016.
Funeral will be Monday, March 14, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Cross Plains Cemetery with a graveside service. The viewing will be Sunday, March 13, 2016 from 3:00-5:00 p.m. at Higginbotham Funeral Home in Cross Plains, Texas.

Bobbie Mae Casey was born on September 1, 1926 to Troy and Mae Watson in Groom, Texas. She was the first born out of 13 children. Growing up in Devine, Texas she attended the Baptist church School where she received certificates for her achievements. At the age of 18 she married her first husband Harold Thetford. On April 13, 1946 she welcomed her first daughter into the family. Over the next 8 years she welcomed in 4 more daughters and a son. Bobbie later moved herself and her kids back home to Pioneer, Texas where she met and married her second husband John Casey. She became a homemaker who loved to cook, bake and make quilts; she also worked in the glove factory in Cisco, Texas for many years.

Bobbie is preceded in death by her husband, John Casey; her parents, Troy and Mae Watson; 3 brothers, James Watson; Earl Watson and Dwayne Watson; one sister, Helen Willis; 2 daughters, Margaret Owings and Barbara Downs; 3 great grandsons, Bo and Jessy White, AJ Robertson and one great-great granddaughter, Kaydence Pierce.

Bobbie is survived by 6 brothers, Buck; Jerry; Troy; Johnny, Harry and Donald Watson; 2 sisters, Josephine Medley and Norma Tucker; 3 daughters, Sandy Abernathy of Brownwood, Texas; Pam Thetford and Debbie Mathis both of Cross Plains, Texas; one son, Max Thetford and his wife, Linda of Lake Brownwood, Texas; 13 grandchildren, Eugene, Corey and Brian Ford; Terri and Misty Abernathy; Stephen and Dewayne Pierce; Maxy Thetford; Rick White; Craig and Deanna Robertson; Jason Cork and Trella Satterfield; 30 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Grandma Casey was the back bone of our family, the foundation that started us all. Each one of us have our own precious memories that we will cherish for the rest of our lives but the one thing that she gave us all the same was a love so true, one that she knows we will carry with us at all times.
