Bobbie Johnson

July 20, 1932 — June 1, 2016

Bobbie Johnson , age 83 of Cross Plains went to be with the Lord and her heavenly family on June 1, 2016 after a lengthy illness. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 4 at 2:00 p.m. at Higginbotham Funeral Home in Cross Plains with Pastor Ronnie B. White officiating; burial will follow at the Dressy Cemetery.

Bobbie was born on July 20, 1932 and was raised in Cross Plains by her parents, William Everett and Lorena Armstrong Wright; along with her twin brother, Bill. Bobbie graduated from Cross Plains High School. She married Noah Sealy Johnson on October 2, 1950 and they were married 59 years before he passed away in 2009. She and her husband owned and operated Johnson's Dry Goods for a little over 40 years; along with cattle ranching. Bobbie was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cross Plains and in her younger years sang in the choir and taught in Sunday School. Bobbie loved her family and doted over her grandchildren and great grandchildren. After retirement, she also loved and missed all of the people that use to come into their store in Cross Plains.

Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents; Everett and Lorena Wright; husband, Noah Sealy Johnson; and daughter, Julia Faye Johnson who died in infancy.

Bobbie is survived by her daughter, Dianne Johnson Hail; son, Bruce Johnson; three grandchildren, Brice Hail, Alisa Hail and Lori Willcockson. She is survived by four great grandchildren; Trevor Hail, Gavin Hail, Jett Hail and Jocelyn Willcockson. Bobbie is survived by her brother Bill Wright and his wife Billie Gean and family.

Bobbie's pallbearers are her nephew, Paul Wright; and great nephews, Jonathan Wright and Scott Wright. Honorary pallbearers are Bobbie's great grandsons, Trevor Hail and Gavin Hail.

Memorials may be given to the Dressy Cemetery maintenance fund at Texas Heritage Bank in Cross Plains, Texas.
