Bobbie Jean Johnston, 88, of Cross Plains, passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2017 in Rising Star.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, October 12, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery at Abilene, TX.
Bobbie was born on February 13, 1929 in Cross Cut, TX., to the late Arlis “Shorty” Webb and Lila Gaines Webb. Bobbie married Dan Johnston on August 4, 1944 in Cross Plains, TX. They shared 72 years of love until Dan passed away January 06, 2017. She worked as a homemaker and accomplished seamstress. Bobbie was a member of Cross Plains Garden Club and First Baptist Church in Cross Plains, TX. She was loved and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Bobbie is survived by 2 sons, Freddie Johnston and wife Bee Gee and Bobby Johnston; 9 Grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; family and friends.
Bobbie was also preceded in death by a son, Billy Johnston.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the First Baptist Church, Cross Plains, TX.
