Charles Herman Wright, age 86, of Rising Star, TX, passed away on Monday, December 12, 2016 in Abilene, TX.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, December 16, 2016 at Rising Star Cemetery, in Rising Star, TX. A visitation will be held from 6-8 PM, Thursday, December 15, at Higginbotham Funeral Home, Cross Plains, TX.
Charles was born on September 30, 1930 in Eastland, TX to the late Authur and Ada Jean Reed-Wright. He married Barbara Jean Hill Wright in December 25, 1947. She preceded him in death on January 5, 2014.
Charles is survived by his son, Eric Wright, and Beverly of Abilene, Texas; grandchild, Audree Wright of Bedford, Texas; step-grandchildren, Stacy Sanchez and Christopher, Lindsey Mauldin and Justin, Lainey Edwards; 4 step great grandchildren; sister, Elizabeth Ann Vaughn; nephews, John Alexander, and Scott Alexander; numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.
Charles is preceded in death by parents, Author, and Ada Jean Reed-Wright; wife, Barbara Jean Hill Wright; brothers, Authur Wright Jr. and James Turner Wright; sister, Marzelle Helen Bradford; granddaughter, Faith Caprice Wright.
The Family ask in lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to American Cancer Society.
