Cleburne R. “Tom” Potter, 68, of Cross Plains, Texas passed away on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at Hendrick Hospice in Abilene, Texas.
Graveside services will be held Friday, October 22 at 2:00 PM at the Cross Plains Memorial Park with Ronnie White officiating. The family will have a time of visitation on Thursday, October 21 from 6:00 – 7:00 PM at Higginbotham Funeral Home Chapel in Cross Plains, Texas.
Tom was born March 24, 1953 in Rising Star, Texas to the late Walter C Potter and Estalee Corine Pittman-Potter.
Tom was preceded by his daughter, April Sayward Potter and parents, Walter C Potter and Estalee Corine Pittman-Potter.
Tom is survived by his wife, Susan Schaefer-Potter of Cross Plains; children, Porcious Potter and wife, Kara of Cross Plains; Rickie Jo Brown and husband, Gerald of Cross Plains; step-children, Benjamin Schaefer and wife, Ruby of Granbury; Starla Neighbors and husband, Dustin of Cross Plains; 6 grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Trent, Alaina, Langly Potter; Braxton and Lawson Brown; 10 step-grandchildren, Gerald Brown Jr. and Christina Brown and Brandon Conover; Kennedy, Lydia and Henry Schaefer; Trevor, Lena, Hannah, Theron and Grace Neighbors; 7 siblings, Linda Slaymaker of Cross Plains; Rick Potter of Cross Plains; Mae Parker and husband, Steve of Cross Plains; Sharon “Shi” Gage and husband, Tony of Clyde; Debbie Gosnell and husband, Don of Cross Plains; Tonjia Foster and husband, Hoyt of Abilene; Teresa Kennedy and husband, Todd of Cross Plains; numerous nieces and nephews.
