Darla Gay Bowman, 60 passed on May 19, 2017 in Baird, TX.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 22 at Cottonwood Cemetery under the direction of Higginbotham Funeral Home.
Darla was born August 1, 1956 to Lois Chalk in Lovelland, TX. She lived most of her life in Abilene area. She worked several years at Abilene State School. Darla was a skilled athlete and loved playing softball and volleyball. She loved her family and friends and will be dearly missed. Life was not always easy but she lived everyday as though it would be her last.
Darla is survived by her mother, Lois Chalk of Coleman; 2 sons, Michael Parrish of Coleman,
Eric Agnew of Abilene; daughter, Elena Rathbone and husband Scot of Abilene; 2 granddaughters, Leah Rathbone and Angell Carlton-Parrish; brother, Randy Bowman; 2 sisters, Melba Hewitt of Hamby and Gail Hewitt of Hamby.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Joe Bowman, and sister, Donna Herridge.
