Dennis Beeler

December 12, 1962 — May 21, 2016

Dennis Scott Beeler, 53, of Cross Plains passed away Saturday, May 21, 2016 in Cross Plains.

A memorial service for Scott will be held Wednesday, May 25 at 2 PM at Higginbotham Funeral Home Chapel, Cross Plains, Texas. Private Internment will be at a later date.

Scott was born on December 12, 1962 in Kermit, TX to Donald Wayne Beeler and Polly Ann Helms Beeler. He was a graduate of Deer Park High School. He excelled in football and was scouted by many Division 1 teams. He loved and chose to play on scholarship for the University of Texas Football. Due to injury his football career was cut short after his freshman year. He then began to build a life and family. Scott is the proud dad to 3 kids, and worked in the oil industry for 15 years. He was a Baptist and will be dearly missed by his family and friends. His love for the longhorns never diminished, so in his memory, HOOK EM HORNS!

Scott is survived by his 3 children, Natalie Beeler of Midland, Ryan Beeler and wife Amanda, Austin Beeler and wife Kara; mother, Polly Beeler; sister, Donna Jordan and husband Danny Osborne; 5 grandchildren; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and his beloved dog Ollie.

Scott was preceded in death by his father, Donald Beeler; grandparents, Edgar and Irene Helms and Oleta Beeler.

A Go Fund Me page is being set up to assist the family with expenses.
