Donna Myers

Donna Myers, 86, passed away Monday, July 13, 2026, in the Comanche County Medical Center.

She was born Donna Mae Garlitz on October 9, 1939, to August Garlitz and Irene Balkum Garlitz in Tom Green County, TX. She grew up on the family farms around Miles before moving to a farm between Cross Cut and Cross Plains. She married J.T. Myers on November 26, 1959, at the Cross Cut Baptist Church.

While Donna held a variety of jobs during her life, her primary focus was being a wife, mother, and ultimately Oma. She was a member of First Baptist churches in Cross Cut, Cross Plains, Coleman, Sterling City, San Angelo, Tulia, and Baird.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Lynn and Dionicia Myers of Midland and granddaughter, Vivian MaeLynn Myers also of Midland.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and daughter-in-law, Sylvia Upton Myers.

Memorials may be made in Donna’s memory to the American Diabetes Association.
