Druecilla Evans, age 72, of Abilene, TX, passed away in Abilene on Monday, November 7, 2016.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at Higginbotham Funeral Home in Cross Plains, Texas with Ronnie White officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Cross Plains Cemetery in Cross Plains, Texas. The family will have a time of visitation from 10:00 – 11:30 AM, Wednesday at Higginbotham Funeral Home, Cross Plains, TX.
Druecilla was born on November 28, 1943 in Brady, TX to the Late Damon and Velma Parrish-Jones. She was a licensed realtor for Caldwell Banker for 35 years. While working at Caldwell it was said, “That Druecilla could sell ice to and Eskimo.” She was also the first female office manager of WTU office for 15 years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Cross Plains and a former member of the FUMC of Abilene, Texas.
Druecilla is survived by her children, Mike McClure Jr. and Michelle of Abilene, Texas, Kandy Sunderman of Kansas, Suzie Hill and Steve of Rising Star, Texas, Paul Evans and Karla of Battle Creek, MI, Dr. Pam Evans of Georgetown, Texas, Dr. Paige Pollard of Midlothian, Texas; Grandchildren, Michael McClure III, Shanda Johnson, Brittany Marks, Brandi Sunderman, Savannah Sunderman, Cheyanne Sunderman, Brooklyn Burney, Brettley Burney, Cotton Hill, Michael Dean Evans, Samuel Berg, Ann-Marie Berg, Sophia Berg, Zachary Pollard, Elizabeth Pollard, Nicholas Pollard, Claire Pollard; Numerous great grandchildren; Mother, Velma Jones of Cross Plains, Texas; brother, Roland Jones and Sandra of Cross Plains, Texas; Numerous other family members and dear friends.
Druecilla was preceded in death by her father, Damon Jones; Husband, Henry Cleve Evans Jr.; Grandson, Kyle McClure.
