Etta Mae Taylor-Hamlin, 79, of Cross Plains, Texas went to be with our Lord and Savior on Monday, November 26, 2018 in Cross Plains, Texas.
A memorial service will be on Sunday, December 9 at 2:00 pm at the American Legion, 701 E 1st Street in Cross Plains,Texas.
Etta was born on October 4, 1939 in Mena, Arkansas to the Late Frank and Maymie Anola Cummings-Taylor. She married Joel Dennis Hamlin on September 9, 1956 in Reno, NV. Etta was a Data Processor at the Brownwood Hospital. Etta was a member and Chaplain for the Cross Plains American Legion Unit 423 Auxiliary. She loved playing bingo at the Senior Citizens. Etta was deeply loved and will be dearly missed.
Etta is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Joel Hamlin of Cross Plains; sons, Brent Hamlin and wife, Sheila of Cross Plains; Terry Hamlin and wife, Cora of Fair Oak, CA; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Jean Ambrosek of Bangs; daughter in laws, Donna and Kelly Crenshaw of Brownwood.
Etta is preceded in death by sons, Frankie Hamlin and Bryant Hamlin.
