Georgia Culwell, 72 of Cross Plains, TX, passed away on Wednesday, July 5, 2017.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, July 7, 2017 at Higginbotham Funeral Home Chapel in Cross Plains, Texas. Burial will follow the service at the Cottonwood Cemetery in Cottonwood, Texas.
Georgia was born on December 11, 1944 in Plainview, TX., to the late Thomas Jefferance and Minnie May Brown-Smith. Georgia married Jim W. Culwell on September 4, 1964 in Post, TX. The celebrated 51 years together before his passing on July 7, 2016. Georgia enjoyed doing yard work and cooking large meals for her family. She also loved humming birds. She was a Baptist.
Georgia is survived by her sons, Jimmy Culwell and wife, Marissa of Cross Plains, Tim Culwell and wife, Angelia of Cross Plains; 3 grandchildren, Sunbeam, Stephanie, Augustus; sisters, Treasure, Chonce and Royce; brother, Isaac Schoonover and wife, Teresa; sister, Margaret Wilson and husband, Eddie; brothers, Ricky Schoonover, Jimmy Schoonover and Benny Schoonover; numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
Georgia was preceded in death by husband, Jim Culwell; sisters, Clara Outton and Tommie Soe Cain; brother, Ralph Schoonover.
