Henry Allen Ring Jr.

Henry Allen Ring Jr was born in Abilene on March 19th, 1942, to Elna LaVerle Barnard and Henry Allen Ring Sr, Henry passed on November 1st, 2025, at 10:52am, at Avir at Baird nursing and rehab. Henry was raised in the Cross Plains and Cottonwood area by his grandparents, George Madison Barnard and Ina Eutychus Gattis Barnard. He grew up with several aunts and uncles. One aunt that was instrumental in raising Henry was Lucille Bernard Koenig. Henry went to Cross Plains school and graduated in 1960, He married Linda Jean Dillard on December 23rd, 1961. They were married for 63 years, 10 months, 8 days.

Mark Anthony Ring 60 of Cross Plains Texas Katerina Kay Ring Gilchrist 57 of Sealy Texas

Henry and Linda have 9 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 9 Great-Great Grandchildren.

Henry was a member of the Church of Christ. He loved talking to anyone that wanted to talk about the bible. He preached at several different churches even here in Cross Plains. He was always preaching to anyone that would listen to him and preached to his kids all the time. Henry worked for different schools and Colleges as supervisor in the maintenance and housekeeping fields and for a couple of malls.

Henry has been preceded in death by his grandfather George Madison Barnard, grandmother Ina Eutychus Gattis Barnard, Father Henry Allen Ring Sr, mother Elna Laverle Barnard Sims, and several aunts and uncles, and a great grandson on September 11, 2025.
