Howard Edington

Howard Von Edington, age 55, of Burkett passed away, Tuesday, April 19, 2016 in Coleman, Texas. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 22, 2016 at First Baptist Church in Cross Plains, Texas with Ronnie White officiating. Burial will follow after the service at Burkett Cemetery in Burkett, Texas. The family will have a time of visitation on Thursday at the Funeral Home from 5:00-7:00 p.m.

Howard was born on June 16, 1960 in Lubbock, Texas to the Scot and Lynda Tyler-Edington. He was a longtime resident of Burkett and devoted his life to his family, farming and ranching. Howard was a 1978 graduate of Cross Plaines High School. He married Debra Kay Anderson on September 1, 1978 in Cross Plains, Texas. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cross Plains and enjoyed spending his time feeding the cattle with his grandsons. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Howard is survived by his wife, Debra Kay Anderson-Edington of Cross Plains; son, Zachary Von Edington and his wife, Mandi of Coleman; 2 grandchildren, Hunter and Hadden Edington of Coleman; daughter, Stephanie Kay Edington of Abilene; sister, Toni Hart and her husband, Truet of Eastland; mother, Lynda Edington of Burkett; uncle Jerry Tyler and his wife, Evelyn; 3 aunts, Joyce Jones; Debbie Reed and husband, Rusty; Valeta Brown and her husband, Jim; many dear family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Scot Edington.
