James is survived by his daughters, Kim Payne of Gonzales, Texas; Jennifer Elijah of The Colony, Texas; son, Dennis Payne of Arlington, Texas; 4 grandchildren, Zackary Payne, Hailey Johnson, Landrey Johnson, Annie Payne; sister, Melissa Baughman.
