James Ramsay

James Clay Ramsay, age 85 of Cisco, Texas passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2023, in Abilene, Texas.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 2, 2023, at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church 306 N Main Street in Rising Star, Texas. The burial will be at 2:00 PM at Pony Creek Cemetery. The family will have a time of visitation prior to the funeral service on Thursday, November 2, 2023 at 10:00 AM at the First Baptist Church in Rising Star, Texas.

James was born on June 19, 1938, in Erath County, Texas to the late Robert Andrew Ramsay and Eula Jane Smith-Ramsay. James married Madge LaNelle Luttrall in 1958. James married Lillie Jean Reeves on October 13, 1989. James served in the Army National Guard and worked in the financial Industry for 40 years as a bank officer and bank examiner.

James was preceded in death by his son, James Clay Ramsay Jr. in 1967; 2 sisters and 4 brothers.

James is survived by his wife, Lillie Jean Ramsay; sons, Andrew Alan Ramsay; Scott Leslie Ramsay; 4 grandchildren, James Robert Ramsay; Thomas Edward Ramsay and his wife, Ashley; Keegan Marie Ramsay; Kylee Tate Ramsay; 4 great grandchildren, Shiloh, Drew, Emma and Barrett.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests a donation to First Baptist Church, Rising Star in his honor.
