Janice Bishop, 71, of Brownwood, Texas passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2019 in Brownwood, Texas.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 12, at 10:00 AM at First Baptist Church in Rising Star, Texas with Terry Simmons officiating. Burial will follow at the Rising Star Heritage Cemetery in Rising Star, Texas.
Janice was born August 23, 1947 in Austin, Texas to the Late John Robert Hancock Sr. and Bernice Starkey-Hancock. Janice married Jarrell W. Bishop in Bastrop, Texas on July 18, 1981, who preceded her on January 4, 2003. She retired from the Internal Revenue Service after 30 years of services in Austin, Texas.
Janice was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jarrell W. Bishop; parents, John Robert Hancock Sr. and Bernice Starkey-Hancock.
Janice is survived by her brother, John Hancock Jr. of Amarillo; 2 stepsons, Dean Bishop of Brownwood; Daniel Bishop of Houston.
