Janice Byrd

Janice “Polly” Byrd, 83, of Cross Plains, Texas passed away on Friday, April 8, 2022 at Hendrick Medical Center in Brownwood, Texas.

Polly was born July 4, 1938 in Smiley, Texas to the late L.C. Brem and Lillie Mae Burkeen-Brem. She married JT Byrd on July 7, 1956 at Crane, Texas, who preceded her on May 23, 2018.

Polly was preceded by her parents, L.C. Brem and Lillie Mae Burkeen-Brem; husband, JT Byrd; brother, Oscar Brem; 2 sisters, Edith Rowlett; Alice Glasgow.

Polly is survived by her son, Guy Byrd and wife, Faye Mills of Cross Cut, Texas; daughters, Wanda Byrd of Gardendale, Texas; Cindie Preston of Gardendale, Texas; 2 grandsons, Marcus Byrd of Cross Cut, Texas; Mitch Byrd and wife, Sheryl of Brownwood, Texas; 4 great grandchildren, Isabella Byrd of Cross Cut, Texas; Kaeden Byrd, Rhyder Byrd and Jolie Byrd of Brownwood, Texas; 2 brothers, CW Brem of Gilmer, Texas; Ray Brem of Cross Cut, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews.
