Janice LaVern Lee, 92, of Rising Star, Texas passed away on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at Comanche County Medical Center in Comanche, Texas.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, May 29 at 10:00 AM at Blake Cemetery with Jody Dodson officiating and Dwayne Clower assisting. The family will have a time of visitation at the funeral home on Friday, May 28 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM.

LaVern was born February 10, 1929 in Bronte, Texas to the late Lee Roberts and Della Haynes-Roberts. LaVern married John Lee on January 14, 1945, who preceded her on August 16, 2011.

LaVern was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, John Lee; parents, Lee and Della Roberts; siblings, Doris Hubbard, Bobby Roberts, Norene Pitman, Eula Stover.

LaVern is survived by her daughter, Jan Clark of Rising Star; son, John David Lee and wife, Elizabeth of Rising Star; seven grandchildren, Jomy Campbell and husband, Chad; Traci Smith and husband Jacare; Heath Lee and wife, Ashley, Christopher, Tommy, Peyton and Justin Lee; four great grandchildren, Blakney Morales and husband, Jessie; Hadlee Campbell; Heston and Harper Lee; brother, Bill Roberts and wife, Josie of Corsicana; numerous nieces and nephew.
