Jimmy Culwell

Jimmy W. Culwell, 71, of Cross Plains passed away Thursday, July 7, 2016 in Cross Plains.

Graveside funeral service will be held Friday, July 8 at 2:00 PM at Cottonwood Cemetery, Cottonwood, TX.

Jimmy was born on June 6, 1945 in Pecos, TX to the late Willard B. Culwell and Lula Ann Brown Culwell. He married Georgia Smith on September 4, 1964 in Post, TX. Jimmy worked as a mechanic and was a longtime resident of the Cross Plains community.

Jimmy is survived by his wife, Georgia Culwell; sons, Jimmy D. Culwell and wife Marissa, Timothy W. Culwell and wife Angelia; grandchildren, Sunbeam Wahl, Stephanie Renne Culwell, Augustus W. Culwell; sisters, Mary Wilson, Mildred Eccles, Barbara Thomas, Olene Agee and Francis Bennett; many dear family and friends.

Jimmy was also preceded in death by a half-brother, L. E. Cathey.

In lieu of flowers or plants, family request memorials be deposited to the "Georgia Culwell Love Fund" that has been set up at the Texas Heritage Bank of Cross Plains.
