Jimmy Lynn Hargrove 79, of Cross Plains,Texas passed away Friday January 12, 2024 at home surrounded by family.
The family will be having a celebration of life at a later date under the Pavilion at Tread Way Park in Cross Plains, Texas.
Jimmy was born January 8, 1945 in Gorman, Texas to the late B.R. Hargrove and Ruth Wilkerson. He graduated from Cross Plains Highschool in 1963. Jimmy married Cliffadean on June 3, 1967. He went on to be the jack of all trades, from joining the Army National guard to working on the Alaskan pipeline. What he was most known for was the horseman and true cowboy that he was. From training horses, announcing rodeos, to riding and fighting bulls. He retired from Kohler in his later years and spent his time with family and doing things that he loved.
Jimmy is preceded in death by his loving wife of 53 years, Cliffadean Hargrove, son Dusty Hargrove; brother, Donny Hargrove; sister, Anna Smith; granddaughter, Shana Hyles and great granddaughter, Kennedy.
Jimmy is survived by his daughters, Kelli Hyles and husband, Frankie of Cross plains; Kami Timmons and husband, Tad of Tolar; granddaughters, Mykea Mackey and husband, Scott of Cross Plains; Christin Bullock and husband, Shawn of Cross Plains; Kelbi Hyles of Cross Plains; Kacelyn Timmons of Tolar; Grandsons, Tristan Hargrove and wife, Catie of Putnam; Cody Hyles and wife, Connie of Cross Plains; Brady Timmons and wife, Katy of Granbury; Cade Timmons and wife, Amanda of Keller; 21 great grandchildren, Tyler, Tatym, Tanner, Trampas, Kutter, Jordan, Jace, Jaxon, Shanell, Talon, Taisley, Traityn, Dream, Halo, Keegan, Jevon, Shyler, Grayson, Easton, Cooper, and Tucker; 5 great great grandchildren; brothers, Billy Hargrove of Baird; Steve Hargrove of Brownwood; numerous nieces and nephews.
