Lela Palmore

Lela Mae Palmore, 90, of May, Texas passed away Tuesday, March 6 in Bangs, Texas.
A funeral service will be held Friday, March 9 at 2:00 PM at Higginbotham Funeral Home Chapel in Cross Plains, burial will follow the service at Blake Cemetery in Brown County, Texas. The family will have visitation prior to the service on Friday, March 9 from 1:00-2:00PM.
Mae was born on May 1, 1927 to the late Clarence and Lillie Simmons-Compton.

Mae is survived by her daughter, Lorie Crume and husband, Joe of May, Texas; son, Jackie Palmore and wife Madenia of Lake Brownwood, Texas; grandchildren, Shelby Branham and husband Bryan of Clyde, Texas; Jared Crume and wife, Kayla of Weatherford, Texas; Lisa Barnes and husband David of Lubbock, Texas; great grandchildren, Justin Branham, Parker Branham, Korbyn Crume, Drew Lee, Hope Moore and Aric Barnes; sister, Gail Mayfield of Lake Palo Pinto, Texas ; brother, Bobby Compton of Odessa, Texas.

Mae was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Lillie Simmons-Compton; husband, W.J. Palmore; brother, Don Compton.
