Lilburn Painter

A beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2022 at his home in Cross Plains, Texas. Lilburn Stanley “Stan” Painter was 80 years old. He was dearly loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed. Those privileged to know him were treated with lots of love and laughter.

Stan was born August 26, 1941 in Mathis, Texas to the late Lilburn Guy Painter and Inez Nichols-Painter. Stan married Delores Sue “Dottie” Landon on February 14, 1973 in New Mexico, they celebrated 43 wonderful years together before she preceded him on July 31, 2017.

Stan was preceded by his loving wife Delores Sue “Dottie” Landon-Painter, parents, Lilburn Guy Painter and Inez Nichols-Painter; daughter, Gina Painter; son by heart, Billy Craig Manicchi; brother, Ed Painter.

Stan is survived by his daughter by heart, Diane Key of Cross Plains, Texas; 5 grandchildren, JaDeana Tonne; Kristina Fraley; Kara Kovach and husband, John; Spud Lamb; Caleb Lamb; 15 great grandchildren, Kendra Renfroe; Kaylee Renfroe; Kiera Northcutt; Kambra Kovach; Khloe Kovach; Caiden Kovach; Makayla Kovach; Briella Kovach; Kurstin Kovach; Kolby Kovach; Hannah Kovach; Matthew Lamb; Addison Lamb; Mariam Lamb; Joshua Lamb.
