Lois Grissom, 90, of Carbon, TX. passed away Monday, December 4, 2017 in Ranger, TX.
Funeral service will be held Friday, December 8, 2017 at 11 AM at the Higginbotham Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Cross Plains Memorial Park. Visitation will be Thursday, December 7, 2017 from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Lois was born on April 17, 1927 to the late Benjamin Hopson and Louisa Rawls Hopson in Brownwood, TX. She was married to Raymond Grissom in December of 1950. Lois was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. She love to quilt and sew, enjoyed gardening and taking care of the yard. Lois specialty was cooking pies, and everyone had their favorite. She was a member of Carbon Christ Center of Carbon, TX., and attended services at Carbon Community Baptist Church.
Lois is survived by her children, Steve Parker and wife Mae of Cross Plains, TX., Sheila Horn of Carbon, TX., Bobby Grissom and wife Donna of Carbon, TX., Billy Grissom and wife Jequitta Carbon, TX; 40 grandchildren; 102 great grandchildren; 18 great-great grandchildren.
Lois was also preceded in death by her husband Raymond Grissom; 5 children, Elaine Miller, Roy David Grissom, Daniel Lynn Grissom, Reanna Boykin and Baby Girl; grandchildren, Greg Garner, Lisa Miller, Brandi Reigle; great grandchild, Kaylee Lewis.
