Louie D. Halcombe, 90, of Cross Plains passed away Tuesday, September 5, 2017 in Comanche.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, September 7, 2017 at 10 AM at the Atwell Cemetery.
Louie was born on January 25, 1927 in Murfreesboro, Arkansas to the late Roosevelt Halcombe and Magnolia Lockaby Halcombe. He proudly served his country during WWII in the European theatre. Louie married the love of his life, Dorothy Juanice Norton. They shared many happy years together until her passing on July 28, 1994. Louie worked in the oil field and was a carpenter. He was a member of the carpenter’s union for 50 years. Louie was a very caring person and knowledgeable. He loved to talk and visit.
Louie is survived by a sister, Sherrill Parham; numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
