Louis Lane Hargis

Louis Lane Hargis born October 19, 1936 in Bartlett, TX, left his earthly home for his heavenly home September 23, 2026.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lourah Lane; father J.B. Hargis; brother, Joel and wife, Marg; and sister, Marilyn and husband, Bill.

Louis was the father of two girls Holly Stueve (Vince) and Julie Price (Adam). They gave him seven grandchildren.

Lou grew up in the Oak Cliff area of Dallas, Tx, and was active in sports. He started college in Arlington and then went on to his beloved Texas A&M. He attained a Masters degree in Civil engineering and had a successful career just playing in the dirt and getting paid for it. He had many interesting projects through the years and really did love his job. 

Besides loving his Aggies, he also loved hunting, fishing, playing golf and baseball, betting on the horses, and we had a lot of fun RVing. Our 40 years of marriage was a joy!
