Marguerite Lynne Marlatt, 74, of San Angelo passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2017 in San Angelo.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 29 from 5 to 7 PM at Bailey Howard Funeral Home, Clyde, TX. A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 30 at 11 AM at Veal Station Cemetery, Parker County.
Marguerite was born on August 06, 1942 in Springtown, TX to the late Yearb Isbell and Grace Fletcher Isbell. She grew up in Fort Worth, TX and was a fan of RC Cola, peanuts, Elvis and was fortunate to meet the love of her life on a blind date. She married that sailor, Edward T. Marlatt Sr. in Daytona, FL on December 28, 1964.
Ed and Marguerite had a great life and were blessed with 34 years together raising their 2 sons, Edward (Tom) Marlatt Jr and Tim Marlatt. Marguerite enjoyed traveling, gardening and was an excellent cook. She and Ed were entrepreneurs and treated their employees as family and many were blessed with their quiet generosity. She was blessed with 2 wonderful and loving daughter in-laws and 4 beautiful, smart and talented grandchildren. She loved baseball, watching her sons, her beloved St. Louis Cardinals and specially her grandson Emmett playing little league. She also loved watching her granddaughter Hailey play basketball, she enjoyed reading scripture with Emily and listening to Chrissy sharing her beautiful voice.
Marguerite followed her parent’s deep faith and love for the Lord. She worshipped at Southgate Church of Christ and her ministry was sending cards to those who were sick or celebrating birthdays. Marguerite (Mom, Nana) will be dearly missed but lovingly remembered for her smile, deep love and was always ready to give a much-needed hug.
Marguerite is survived by her 2 sons, Edward (Tom) Marlatt Jr. and wife Jaclyn of Dublin, TX, Tim Marlatt and wife Grace of San Angelo, TX; 4 grandchildren, Emily, Chrissy, Hailey and Emmett; numerous family and dear friends.
Marguerite was preceded in death by her husband, Edward T. Marlatt Sr.
