Randolph “Randy” Jones, 75, of Cottonwood, Texas, passed away unexpectedly at his home on December 31, 2024, following a massive heart attack.
Born on September 11, 1949, in Monahans, Texas, Randy grew up in Bayfield, Colorado, where he attended school and forged lifelong friendships. In 1968, he enlisted in the United States Army, serving with honor until 1970 and proudly contributing to his country during his time in service.
After his military service, Randy led a life full of love, adventure, and hard work. In April of 1973, he married Mary Bullard-Albrecht, raising four children together. Randy found joy in the simple pleasures of life and lived by his rhythm, always marching to the beat of his own drum. He was a man who made his own path, staying true to himself and his values.
Randy is preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Uva Jones.
He is survived by his four children, Vanica Jones, James Jones, Jenifer Jones-Sawyer, and Sean Jones; his sister, Effie Sandlin; his former wife, Mary Bullard-Albrecht; 9 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild and nephew. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A memorial service will be held at the Cottonwood Cemetery on February 5, 2025, at 1:00 pm.
