Richard R. “Dick” Grider, 91, of Cross Plains, Texas passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2021 in Rising Star, Texas.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 2 at 2:00 PM at Higginbotham Funeral Home Chapel with Tommy Merryman officiating. Burial will follow the service at Cross Plains Memorial Park in Cross Plains, Texas. The family will have a time of visitation on Friday, October 1 from 6:00 – 7:00 PM at Higginbotham Funeral Home Chapel in Cross Plains, Texas.
Dick was born October 26, 1929 in Cross Plains, Texas to the late Eugene Grider and Alice Lee-Grider. Dick married Lou Parrish in Cross Plains in 1973.
Dick was preceded by his wife of 43 years, Lou Parish-Grider; parents, Eugene and Alice Grider; brothers, Bob, Jimmy, Junior, Charlie and David; sisters, Frances and Helen.
Dick is survived by his sister, Rosalee McClain of Cross Plains.
