Ronald Dewey Townson, 74, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2026, in Arlington, Texas. Born on January 14, 1952, in Ft. Worth, Texas, Ronald was a beloved son of Sam Townson and Jenny Louise (Taylor) Townson.

After a fulfilling career of over 40 years at American Airlines, Ronald's family was everything to him, and he cherished the time spent with his family. A gentle and welcoming soul to every family, friend and even strangers passing by, he had a heart of gold and was always ready to lend a helping hand. Ronald had a passion for farming and racquetball and couldn't resist indulging in Dr. Pepper and ice cream every day. He was a lifelong fan of the Texas Rangers and cherished his younger years playing and coaching baseball. Sundays were reserved for watching the Dallas Cowboys, where he enjoyed every moment spent with his significant other Chris.

He is survived by his children, Corey Townson, Casey Townson, Jenny Bateman, Daniel Olds, and James Olds; grandchildren, Caleb Townson, Erin Thompson, Shelby Townson, Logan Townson, Hailey Townson, JR Dermody, Blacke Olds, and Savannah Olds; great grandchildren, Adeline Thompson, Korie Thompson, and Staylee Thompson; sister, Barbara Dill; numerous cousins and extended family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Sam & Jenny Townson; and his significant other Chris.
