Ronnie Wayne Scott, 64, of Cross Plains, Texas went to be with the Lord and Savior on Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at Hendrick Hospice Center in Abilene, Texas.

Ronnie was born on February 12, 1958 in Huntsville, Texas to the late James Wayne Scott and Donna Sue Hefner- Scott. He married Bonnie Woolen on March 14, 1998 in Cottonwood, Texas.

Ronnie was preceded by his parents, James Wayne Scott and Donna Sue Hefner-Scott. Ronnie is survived by his wife Bonnie Scott of Cross Plains; son, Kevin Scott and wife Megan of Clyde; daughter, Karen McClure and husband Clinton of Tuscola; 5 grandchildren, Hudson, Addison, Aspen, Layni, Riley; brother, James Scott and wife Amy of Lewisville; nephew, Colby; nieces, Ashleigh, Jami, and Kailey.

Ronnie was well known to be a kind, caring, and compassionate person. His favorite pastime was fishing and spending time outdoors. He loved his life out on the farm. Ronnie loved the Lord and his greatest joy was spending time with his family and grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father, brother, and friend.

Ronnie spent most of his life as a master carpenter where he touched and influenced the lives of many. His skillful and impeccable craftsmanship is seen throughout many homes in the Cross Plains and Abilene areas, including his own. He later worked for AISD as the maintenance supervisor, where he retired after 20 years. He was well respected for his hard work, dependability, and integrity.

In his retired years, Ronnie and loving wife Bonnie enjoyed traveling and spending time attending their grandchildren's extracurricular activities. Ronnie and Bonnie's last trip together was to Wyoming. They called it " the trip of a lifetime."
