Ruby Lee

Ruby Elvine Force Lee, age 92, of Cross Plains, TX, passed away Thursday, October 27, 2016 in the Brownwood Hospital after a short illness in Brownwood, TX.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, October 29, 2016 at Cross Plains Cemetery in Cross Plains, TX.

Ruby was born on January 13, 1924 to the late Harry and Effie Force. She married Albert Samuel Johnson Lee on March 17, 1945. He preceded her in death on November 17, 2000. Ruby was a long-time resident of Cross Plains, Texas. For the last few years she was a resident of the Rising Star Nursing Home in Rising Star, Texas. She was a homemaker and raised 10 Children. She lived a simple life that revolved around her family.

Ruby is survived by her 6 children, Junior Lee and Marilyn of Hico, Texas; Richard Lee and Wilma of Comanche, Texas; Harry D. Lee of Dublin, Texas; Shirley Ann Lee Whiteley and Curtis of Bangs, Texas; Charles Lee of Cross Plains, Texas; Tommy Lee of Cross Plains, Texas; sister, Gloria Holdsworth of Lindsborg, Kansas; 17 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild.

Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Effie Force; husband, Albert Samuel Johnson Lee; 4 children, Sam Lee; Esther McCoy; Hazel Reed; Maxine Fields; 3 brothers, Richard Force; Junior Force; Larry Force; 1 sister, Maxine Force.
