Sharlotte Ann Montgomery, of Cross Plains, Texas, passed away on Monday, April 8, 2024, in the comfort of her home surrounded by family at the age of 74.
She was born April 28, 1949, in Rising Star, Texas, to James Vincent and Ida Mae (Hubbard) McCowen. She was married to Randy Gale Montgomery for 55 years. She was a family woman and always wanted to be with her children. She also taught Sunday school at First Baptist church in Cross Plains and was on the FSA Cabinet Committee for 9 years.
She is preceded in death by her parents, James Vincent McCowen & Ida Mae Hubbard McCowen, and her brother Charles McCowen.
She is survived by husband, Randy Montgomery of Cross Plains. She is also survived by son, Stacy & Brenda Montgomery of Cross Plains, and daughters, Melissa & Patrick Hamilton of Plains, and Heather & John Harris of Plains. She is survived by grandchildren, Ashlee & George Mathews, Jarrah McNutt, Blake & Ariel Hutchins, and Taya Hamilton of Cross Plains, Cooper Hamilton of San Angelo, Sawyer Hamilton of Plains, Zachary & Ashley Harris of Little Rock, Ethan Harris of Killeen, Kiersen Harris of San Angelo, and Hannah Harris of Plains. She is also survived by great grandchildren, Kinlee, Aiden and Connor Mathews of Cross Plains, Castyn and Anslee McNutt of Cross Plains, Westyn, Karlee, Kylin and Adia Hutchins of Cross Plains, and Henry Harris of Little Rock. She is survived by bothers, Jimmy Dwight McCowen and Mark McCown, also sister (cousin), Garnette McKoy.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 11, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. at the First Baptist Church of Cross Plains. A private burial will follow the service at the Cross Plains Memorial Park in Cross Plains, Texas.
In lieu of flowers donations can also be sent to Cross Plains Community Cancer Fund address PO Box 699, Cross Plains, Tx 76443. Donations can also be given to Dannes Turner or Cindy Payne.
