Willie Bufford “Bill” Nickerson Jr., 65, of Cottonwood, Texas passed away on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at Hendrick Medical Center North in Abilene, Texas.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, August 21 at 9:00 AM at the Cottonwood Cemetery in Cottonwood, Texas with Thomas Estes officiating.
Bill was born May 17, 1956 in Houston, Texas to the late Willie Bufford “Bill” Nickerson Sr. and Nadine “Dena” Weaver-Nickerson. Bill married Annette White on June 17, 1976 at the Cottonwood Baptist Church in Cottonwood, Texas. He was a floor mechanic and a farmer.
Bill was preceded by his parents.
Bill is survived by his wife of 45 years, Annette White-Nickerson of Cottonwood; sons, Willie Nickerson III. and his wife, Jenny of Cross Plains; Kevin “Cooter” Nickerson and wife, Laci of Cross Plains; daughter, Mary Jo Pennington and husband, Joseph of Southlake; 9 grandchildren, Autum, Cadence, Barrett, Haylee, Gus, Blake, Cord, Wyatt and Shyanne; sisters, Kathy Franke, Dena Jo Hines, Connie Potter; brother, Myrl Glynn Nickerson.
