Worley Gene Maynard, age 72, of Clyde, Texas passed away, Thursday, April 14, 2016 in Clyde, Texas. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at Higginbotham Funeral Home Chapel in Cross Plains, Texas. A private burial was held at on Friday afternoon April 15, 2016.
Worley was born on October 9, 1943 in Rising Star, Texas to Deward and Willie Leah Maynard. He was raised in Rising Star, Texas. He graduated from Rising Star High School.
Worley is survived by his seven children, Debbie Sharrow of Rowlett, Texas; Tonya Hodge of Abilene, Texas; Gene Maynard of Anson, Texas; Rebecca Evans of Avinger, Texas; Leah Stephens of Clyde, Texas; Isaac Maynard of Ft. White, Florida; Hannah Maynard of Houston, Texas; numerous grandchildren; one sister, Sara Nettles of Romney, Texas; one brother, Jerald Maynard of Rising Star, Texas.
Worley was preceded in death by his parents, Deward and Willie Leah Maynard and two brothers, Don Maynard and Gary Maynard.
